Training Workshop - How to Use Living Record
Free Training Workshop in Using Living Record - Friday 24 February in Dorchester
There are just a few places left on our free training workshops (10am-12.30 or 1.30-4pm) in how to use Living Record the online system for recording wildlife in Dorset. This will be a hands-on introduction at a computer and will equip you with the skills to go online and record your sightings. (Please note that this workshop will not show you how to identify wildlife - there will be more opportunities for that in the spring and summer!) There is no charge but places are limited and booking is essential.
Dorset Environmental Records Centre collate the data from all the records submitted on Living Record and that knowledge is then used to inform conservation. The Ridgeway is currently an under-recorded area of the county and if we can encourage more people to submit records we will be able to build a more complete picture of Ridgeway wildlife. So if you keep any eye on your local patch, or go for walks and like to spot birds or flowers or other wildlife, then this workshop will help you to record your sightings and contribute to the conservation of the Ridgeway.
