This festival is the first full on food festival of the season, and with so many amazing food and drink producers there to tempt you, along with some great family fun, it is sure to be a great day day out.
The festival also helps to raise awareness of the local venison that Purbeck and Dorset producers with demos, displays and venison stallholders.

With record numbers at the 2016 festival, 2017 is all set to be as good if not better than last year. The festival is set at Dorset's beautiful hilltop town of Shaftesbury. The town comes to life bursting with a variety of sights, sounds, smells and tastes.
This year you will be rewarded if you come with tastes from all over Dorset and the surrounding area, along with chefs demonstrating their culinary delights in the cookery theatre.
Or join in with the maypole dancing in the Abbey Gardens or take part in the annual Cheese Run on Gold Hill, which attracted a record number of entries.
The SpringTide Food Festival is an annual celebration of Dorset's finest local produce held at Hive Beach, Burton Bradstock on a weekend in May.
If you haven't already discovered the delights of Spring Tide, it's a family-friendly festival with a brilliant atmosphere, entertainment for all ages and a spectacular setting on the Jurassic Coast. It is also a paradise for food lovers, with a mind boggling array of the finest local produce available to try and buy.
The event gets bigger and better each year, but one thing that hasn't changed is the strong community emphasis and the opportunity to discover and meet local food producers.
