The Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is one of a family of protected landscapes in the UK, working to conserve and enhance the natural beauty of almost half of Dorset's countryside.
Spring is a great time to get out and explore - try our ideas of great places to go to pop out to the countryside for a few hours and blow away the winter cobwebs.
We have just launched our Sustainable Development Fund to help local landscape action - if you have a project that needs support, the closing date is 7th May but do get in touch to discuss further.
The Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty partnership is pleased to open their Sustainable Development Fund again this year for community groups, businesses and individuals across Dorset. Over £30,000 is available to support environmental and community projects across Dorset.
Representatives from Dorset are attending a special event in London today (26th March) to mark the first anniversary of England’s Nature Improvement Area (NIA) programme.
The fabulous footbridge at Charmouth which we featured earlier this year has won a prestigious national award for its design – well done to all involved.
