The Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a national treasure but it is the activities and care of local people over many years that have created the landscape we see today.

The Dorset AONB Team is committed to working with local people and organisations to conserve and enhance the natural beauty of the area.

The priorities for the AONB are laid out in the latest Dorset AONB Management Plan which sets out what we think needs to be done over the next 5 years to safeguard and celebrate this fantastic landscape.

However, you may also have your own ideas about what makes your area special and what needs to be done - we can help you with advice and sometimes funding to help transform your ideas into action.
