CORDIALE

CORDIALE is a cross-border partnership between the AONBs of the South West and the Parcs Naturels Régionaux (PNR) of Normandy and Brittany.  The work being delivered through the CORDIALE partnership will support the learning and exchange of ideas and best practice about protected landscape management across a wide grouping of AONBs and PNRs.

CORDIALE will achieve this through research, exchange & training, development and dissemination of ideas and best practice in landscape mapping, sustainable farming and traditional buildings amongst the nine core CORDIALE partners and a wider grouping of protected landscapes, of which Dorset AONB is one.

South West Protected Landscapes Forum (SWPLF) is leading on the CORDIALE landscape mapping and monitoring projects. SWPLF, working closely with Dorset AONB is leading on a CORDIALE field trial exploring how innovative mapping can help farmers and landowners focus conservation efforts to prioritise changes to land management in the face of a changing climate.

The CORDIALE partnership was established in 2010 and the project has been selected within the frame of the INTERREG IV A France (Channel) England cross-border European cooperation programme, part financed by the European Regional Development Fund

Climate change adaptation field trial
