Dorset's landscape is one of the most precious and varied in the country.  Unfortunately over recent years, traffic volume, urbanisation, and speed has increased, resulting in concerns over environmental impacts and safety on our rural roads and villages.

This section of the site introduces you to reports, Dorset Rural Roads Protocol, and the Dorset AONB toolkit to help guide and encourage new ideas and methods to tacke these sensitive issues, and enhance the local distinctiveness of our rural roads and villages, without compromising on safety.
