Traffic & Rural Settlements Study

people-in-narrow-village-laneThe Traffic and Rural Settlements Study by Hamilton-Baillie Associates  builds on a series of events organised by the Dorset AONB in 2010.

Ben Hamilton-Baillie worked with the Dorset AONB and two parishes, Maiden Newton and South Perrott. Together they explored and developed a range of ideas to help communities living on busy roads to improve the balance between village life and traffic movement.

Ben’s report on this work is available  below and the principles of the work are relevant to any of our Dorset villages.

Following on from this initial work will be a “toolkit” to help other communities follow the process for themselves.
