If you would like a day out in the fresh air, in a lovely countryside setting with a friendly group of fellow volunteers, why not try your hand at traditional Dorset hedgelaying?
We are always delighted to welcome new people, whether experienced or completely new to hedgelaying & conservation volunteering.
Hedges laid in the traditional manner are vital for wildlife, providing food, shelter and safe passage between different sites, but they are fast disappearing in the modern countryside. So join us for a sociable and active day in a beautiful location, try your hand at a new skill and help conserve the distinctive character of this special landscape.
We are hedgelaying most Tuesdays throughout the winter, but do get in touch to confirm.
There is no charge but places are limited and booking is essential.
