About the event

Rivers bring great character to the Dorset landscape … and are home to a surprising amount of wildlife too. Come along to discover what lives in the River Asker near Bridport. Casterbridge Fisheries will be undertaking an electrofishing survey and hope to find trout and eels and other fish. Ian Rees from the AONB team will also be sampling for creepy crawlies that live in the river in a less dramatic but equally enthralling way!

This event is part of our Landscape for Life Festival, celebrating 60 years of the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We’ve asked some very special people who live and work in this rich and vibrant landscape to share the places they love with you. Join artists, story-tellers, wildlife experts, geologists, farmers, archaeologists to uncover what makes the landscape so outstanding… and find your own place to love along the way.
