It's been 50 years since almost half of Dorset's landscape was officially recognised as OUTSTANDING. To celebrate, we've asked people who care about the landscape - farmers, artists, poets, geologists - to share their Love for the Land with us.

The Love for the Land events (July 13 - 25th) offer the chance for local people to explore some very special places in the AONB they haven't been to and meet some of the people who make the AONB so unique. Walks, talks, boat trips and bike rides are organised so you can meet some of the people whose Love for the Land helps keep the AONB a vibrant place.

We hope that families will join us in the first week of the school holidays - events include stream dipping , model making, sketching and food tasting!

These short, bite sized events will give a little taste of what the AONB can offer you. They are all FREE and most involve some fine local refreshments along the way!

For further information of the events and bookings, email dorsetaonb@dorsetcc.gov.uk or ring 01305 756782.
